Not only honey-bees managed by beekeepers have it tough, but especially wild bees, bats, birds, and butterflies are facing extinction. Without pollinators, entire ecosystems will collapse as well as agriculture as we know it. The cause for the declines are complex, which is why transdisciplinary approaches are key.<\/span><\/p>\n As scientists, activists and artists, our creative approach transforms the biodiversity crisis into an opportunity. Our mission is to bridge activism, creativity, and ecology to create impactful, measurable, and systemic solutions for pollinator conservation. At Pollinator Ambassadors she delivers workshops, provides expert knowledge and insight into pollinator science, and leads reporting tasks as co-president. Her research focuses on how honey bees and wild bees share landscapes. She works with beekeepers in the Cambridgeshire area to measure how honey bees could be impacting bumblebees. She is also a science communicator with the BBKA News, the monthly print newsletter of the British Beekeepers\u2019 Association, where she writes a monthly segment on the latest science and news concerning bees<\/span>. <\/span>She holds a BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Sustainability from Leiden University College and an Erasmus Mundus MSc in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management, and has experience in working in the science-policy interface with organisations at the Cambridge Conservation Initiative. A Systems Thinking expert and artist – engaged in writing, printmaking and ceramics – she bridges creativity and ecology to leverage the impact of pollinator conservation.
